Technical Breakdown
The 2026 Xfinity sensor lineup includes two primary variants. The XHS2-UE (Zigbee) and the newer XHD2 (latest generation) are the current standards. They utilize Passive Magnetic Induction to detect entry. Most modern models are powered by a single CR2 Lithium 3V battery or a CR2450 coin cell, offering a battery life of 3 to 5 years under normal usage. The sensors communicate using encrypted signals to prevent "signal jamming" by intruders.
