Technical Breakdown
The Gen 3 model features a massive internal upgrade, including a Vivint-owned Computer Vision Chip (CVC) and a high-performance 4K image sensor. While it streams and records at 1080p to manage bandwidth, the 4K sensor provides the raw data needed for its extreme 5.3x "lossless" digital zoom. The RADAR technology works in tandem with the sensor to provide a 3D-like understanding of the environment, drastically reducing false alerts from trees, shadows, or small animals.
