Technical Breakdown
The Z5 II is effectively a "mini Z6 III." By adopting the EXPEED 7 engine, it can now track nine different subject types (including birds, vehicles, and insects) with 3D-tracking technology. While the original Z5 was limited to 4.5 fps, the Z5 II can shoot up to 30 fps (JPEG) or 14 fps (RAW). For filmmakers, the removal of the heavy 1.7x crop at 4K/30p allows for much wider compositions, perfect for architecture and tight interior shots.
